About Stable Fast 3D
Stable Fast 3D (SF3D) is Stability AI's single-image to 3D model, built for speed. The public Hugging Face demo lets you upload a picture, remove the background automatically, tune mesh detail and texture size with sliders, and download the result as a GLB.
It is quicker and lighter than most rivals, which makes it handy for testing whether an idea works in 3D before you spend credits elsewhere. The trade-off is detail: shapes are simpler, and the hidden back of an object is more of a guess than with the newest commercial engines.
The code and model weights are public under Stability AI's community license, so check its terms before selling prints. For printing you will need to convert the GLB to STL and check wall thickness. It suits tinkerers who want a fast, free first pass on simple objects, toys and props.
