What is Alpha3D?

Alpha3D is a subscription web platform that turns a text prompt or a photo into a 3D model, with a Text & Image to 3D Print page that makes shape-only meshes for printing. Skipping the texture stage brings a generation down to 24 credits, against 42 for a textured model. A typed prompt first becomes a preview image you can regenerate, and that image is then built into the mesh.

After generating you can give the model one solid preview color, and from the Basic plan up you can run Smart Topology to turn a dense AI mesh into lighter single-shell geometry. Models download as GLB, OBJ or FBX, so STL is always a second step: Convert 3D returns a binary STL for 12 more credits. The same account also covers multi-view reconstruction from several photos, UV unwrapping, AI texturing, rigging, a chat agent called Alphred and a Blender add-on.

There is no free tier. The €5 Tester plan includes downloads and 90 credits a month, enough for about two print models plus their STL conversions, while Smart Topology and the extra quality tiers start at Basic for €16 a month. It suits makers who want miniatures, props or cosplay pieces from an idea or a photo and will pay for a wider toolset than a single print generator.

How to use Alpha3D

Sign up and pick a plan (Tester at €5 a month is the cheapest)
Open Text & Image to 3D Print and type a prompt or upload a photo
For a prompt, approve the preview image, then generate the shape-only model
On Basic or higher, run Smart Topology on dense meshes, then convert the GLB to STL with Convert 3D
Download the STL and check it in your slicer before printing
